CAMILLA AND MARC draws on powerful female archetypes in its latest short film, The Power Woman. Conceived under the creative direction of Camilla Freeman-Topper and Marc Freeman, the film stars Abbey Lee, who is transported into a hyper-real vision of 1980s corporate America – where power, morality, and complex love narratives collide.

Shot at the The Westin Bonaventure Hotel, a postmodern “city within a city” defined by its brutalist-meets-sci-fi aesthetic. The film centers on Susie Batton, a high-powered corporate lawyer in downtown Los Angeles. Whether under interrogation by private investigators for a crime she may be implicated in, or navigating fragmented memories where seemingly minor encounters accumulate, she remains entirely unshaken.

As Susie retraces her steps, a portrait emerges of a woman who cannot be broken – steadfast in her convictions and uncompromising in her pursuit of truth. In doing so, she both embodies and interrogates the very notion of power itself.
